DOG LOGIC: IF YOU CAN'T FIND A REASON TO SMILE, JUST TURN YOUR HEAD UPSIDE DOWN.
If nothing else, our canine compadres serve as a constant reminder to us humans, that life doesn't have to be so serious all of the time and that a little silliness might be the secret to happiness - even if that silliness comes after too many lemon drop shots you made with all those lemons life gave you. As long as you're paying attention,
AS MUCH AS WE CAN TEACH OUR DOGS, WE CAN LEARN FROM THEM.
And with that, let the summer silliness commence! During this first official month of summer, we continue with part 2 of our Counter Surfing series. Dads get all the hype, we break down the difference between obedience and manners (yes, there is one), plus a ton of other dog stuff... you know the drill. So grab your SPF, because this newsletter is going to leave a mark... on your mind.π |

MYTH BUSTERS
Busting myth balls.
There are so many rumors out there about pet dog sterilization and frankly, some of these myths have us a bit miffed, so we're here to bust some myth balls & set the record straight.
IT CAN CAUSE BEHAVIOR CHANGES
The π - No amount of sterilization is going to negate any negative personality traits or bad behaviors or habits your dog has picked up over time. Neutering can help avoid some aggression problems & lower testosterone (which is often the cause for high-drive behaviors, like being territorial, roaming or male dogs mounting other dogs prior to being neutered.)
IT'S UNHEALTHY
The π - Spay/neuter actually helps your dog live a longer, healthier life. For males, it can help prevent testicular cancer and some prostate problems. Spaying helps prevent uterine infections and breast tumors.
IT'S EXPENSIVE
The π - These procedures have come a long way and in doing so, the cost has come way down. There are plenty of organizations that offer low-cost options, including the ASPCA and local rescues.
NEUTERING MY DOG WILL MAKE HIM FEEL LIKE LESS OF A MAN
The π - Yeahhh, no bud. Doggos don't have any concept of gender or sexual identity so that's not a thing. |
