WONDER DOG UNIVERSITY HOWLIDAY SURVIVAL GUIDE: Part Four
First of all, holy canoli we've been doing this little newsletter for four years?! We hope we've been able to teach you something, or at the very least, entertain you a bit!
In this edition of our Survival Guide, we're helping pet parents and their pups navigate their way through the holiday season with ease. Packed with tips, tricks, hacks and flair - this guide is set to be our best one yet! (We probably say that every year.) But don't forget, this survival guide is mostly for the pups - it's our job to make sure their holidays are as jolly as our own.
As is our holiday tradition, we kick off this newsletter with the following, refreshed for 2024...
TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
And all through the house, Not a creature was stirrin', you could'a heard a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, And I sniffed every one for a treat hidden there. My humans were safe, all tucked in our bed, When I sniffed something sweet that filled up my head.
Off to the kitchen for a quick sniff around, And sittin' right there you wouldn't believe what I found! Up there on the counter, at perfect pup height - Milk & cookies left out for the night!
So I knocked over the milk & licked it all gone, Ate some cookies, laid down & yawned. When outside the house, there arose such a racket, I jumped up real quick, ready to attack it!
I stood still like a statue, so the threat couldn't see me, Perked up my ears & hid by the tree. When wut, to my puppy dog eyes did appear, But a big red guy with a furry white beard!
On the top of his head, he wore the funnest red hat, It had a white ball on the end, that I just had to have! I crouched down low & got ready to jump, I flew through the air like a fist, mid-pump.
But St. Nick, he just chuckled and patted my head, And tossed me a treat before moving ahead. I watched as he worked, so quick and so spry, Filling stockings with gifts, then giving a sigh.
Before he departed, he knelt by my side, Scratched behind my ears and said with pride: "You’re a good dog, loyal and true, This Christmas gift is especially for you."
He left me a bone, so juicy and big, I wagged my tail wildly and my paws did a jig. Then he rose up the chimney, his job now complete, And I curled back up by the fire, feelin' content and sweet.
As he drove out of sight, I heard him exclaim, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all Wonder Dogs the same!" 🐾 |
